• Recommendations platform Taboola has completed its buy of Connexity for $800 million, according to Fipp. The transaction brings e-commerce media platform Connexity’s 6,000 publishers and 1,600 direct merchant relationships to Taboola. https://www.taboola.com/press-release/taboola-closes-connexity-acquisition

• Newspaper and publication brokerage Cribb, Greene & Cope has been renamed Cribb, Cope & Potts to reflect the firm’s most recent ownership/partner changes.

The firm’s name change coincides with the addition over the last several years of Jeffrey Potts and last year’s announced retirement of Gary Greene, who served as a director for 19 years alongside John Cribb. John recently announced his retirement as well. His son, John Thomas Cribb, remains a director of the firm, as does Randy Cope. The firm has offices in California, Montana and Arkansas.

• The Washington Post has launched The 7, a short daily briefing, guiding readers through the most important and interesting news as they start their mornings, says the paper. Published each weekday at 7 a.m. ET and updated through 10 a.m., The 7 will be available across Post products and platforms.
