Digital news publishers Vox Media and Group Nine Media appear close to sealing a merger deal.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that the companies are in “advanced talks” to form a joint entity that would be led by Vox Media’s Jim Bankoff.
After the report emerged, Bankoff confirmed the merger talks in an email to his employees that was obtained by the WSJ.
