Councilmember Bernard C. Parks is not related to Christopher Dorner

Despite an erroneous report by KFI Radio, Councilmember Bernard C. Parks is not related to fugitive and suspected killer, former Los Angeles Police Department Officer Christopher Dorner.

Parks' office began receiving calls from several media outlets this morning asking if there was any relation between the Councilmember and Dorner. And, the office emphatically responded in each case that there is-- in fact-- no relation.

However, KFI broadcast an unconfirmed and untrue statement that Parks and Dorner are related. KFI has since retracted that statement.

To state once again, in no uncertain terms, the two men are not related.

"The effort by our local media in following this non-story while three people are dead and two others are wounded is extremely reckless and insensitive," Parks said. "In their rush to be first they have only proven to be the absolute worst. The only people lower are the ones that created and helped spread this gossip."

Handel drops f-word on the air

Kevin Roderick has an interesting story about Bill Handel, using that forbidden F-word on the air. I wonder if the FCC was listening? I wake up to Bill Handel every morning, his high pitched voice gets me out of bed, so this article grabbed my attention.
