George Wayman Doolittle
From Emmett Jaime:"I received a call from Louis Aguilar informing me that George passed away on Nov.27. For those who don't get the Times heres a brief description of the obit. After a long battle with heart disease. His obit came out on the Dec.2nd sunday edition. In it it tells George was born in Natchitoches,Louisiana, raised on a farm, joined the Armed Services 4 days after his 17th birthday and served during WWII. After getting out and moving to Los Angeles got a job at the LA Times and worked there for 42 years. Services will be held on Thursday, Dec.6th at 2pm at Forest Lawns Cemetery in Cypress,Ca. I will try to attend and hope to see a nice turn out for Georges funeral".
