Los Angeles Times Pressman Alan Miller was struck by an SUV on Monday while riding his bike, and passed away at the scene of the accident. Alan worked at the Times Orange County Production Facility for almost three decades, and will be missed by his colleagues at both facilities. A very quiet man that was beginning to come out of his shell, working two days per week at the Times Olympic Facility and three days at the Orange County Facility in Costa Mesa.
The Orange County Register has published the details of the accident.
Services are pending at this time.
Rest in peace our brother.

Heartfelt condolences to the family, Pressmen & Presswomen.
Condolences. He sounded like a really great guy.
I'm am very sorry over the JERKS on the OC Register board who were blaming him for riding on the road! They totally missed the sentence that it was the driver who swerved off the side of the road and hit him.
Awful.
But I hate to say it: that's OC for you. Completely devoid of manners.
Bravo for all the pressmen who signed on an stood up for him.
