Opportunities did not come without someone suffering and sacrificing
-I
want these young men and women who are alive today to know that these
new privileges and opportunities did not come without someone suffering
and sacrificing for them.-
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Got it people? I really don’t think you do for there is far too much complacency and taking for granted that the privileges and opportunities you enjoy will always be there! That there’s nobody out there daily trying to take them away! If you don’t believe that it is so continue down the path that you are on and as Chief Seattle said in “a few more moons a few more winters we will see!”

My choice of weapons photo exhibit
My choice of weapons photo exhibit highlighted on Fox 11 television Sunday 9:00 A.M.
Well! It’s official the show has been shot and airs Sunday April 14 at
9:00 AM on Fox 11. Would like to thank Tony Valdez and Fox television
for the opportunity to discuss my photo exhibit and highlight some of my
history making images.
If you get an opportunity once again
the show is “midday Sunday” comes on at 9:00 AM on Fox 11. Pictured is
Tony Valdez and myself after the taping and yes I was quite comfortable
in the anchor chair and that is another one of my careers!

Two Digital Cameras Needed for Photography Class
MPJI update :
Group photo of my students from Inglewood High School we took the group photo this afternoon after a video session for the MPJI website. I have six very nice and intelligent students and we are preparing for some field trips to captured images and moments for their upcoming photo exhibit in April which will debut April 28 in the same venue as my photo exhibit. The Museum of African American art 4005 Crenshaw Blvd third floor of Macy’s. My photo exhibit will feature 24 years of my photo journalism and other photography work in Los Angeles and throughout the country.
It promises to be one spectacular show/exhibit there will be a section dedicated to my history making coverage of “the trial of the century”. I have many untold stories from that historical trial and over 18,000 images most of which have never been published but many will be in my book celebrating the 20 year anniversary of the historical trial in 2014. Tentative title of the book O.J. the untold story of the trial of the century through the eyes and lens of the Black Press of America.

The students are in need of two digital cameras, new or used, won't you consider making a donation of the needed equipment? As you probably already know by now I'm most attracted to men and women that give without requiring something in return, Mr. Galbreath is this type of person. Contact either of us via Facebook or visit his website by clicking here. Thank you, Edward

The lesser of two evils!

By Haywood Galbreath
For all of you out there! Who have criticized the president of United States Obama! Said he has not done enough to help the people and the economy! Says that he is not an American and wants to destroy the American way! Says he is evil!
There’s another individual running for the presidency of the United States his name is Mitt Romney! Mitt Romney belongs to the party that basically has destroyed this nation! By all indications Mitt Romney does not truly care about the working class people and will try his best to put him and his friends at an even greater financial position off the backs of the middle class than they already are at! You can say this man and the party that he belongs to is evil!
Therefore if you’re saying that Obama is evil! And we know that by all indications that the Republican Party and Mitt Romney are evil!
Yet Obama has tried the help the American people! You would be wise! The go with the lesser of those two evils! Obama! Unless you just really ready to have pure evil run America! –HG--

Minority Photo Journalism Institute
As many of you know or have guessed I’m a photography buff, and attend any event or display of photography. On Sunday James Bolden invited me to the Minority Photo Journalism Institute photography program, featuring the work of Inglewood High School students. The mentor of the students is the famous presidential photographer Haywood Galbreath, and after viewing the children’s artwork it’s easy to see they have a great mentor.
Unfortunately my camera was taken without my knowledge, and I felt naked visiting the event with no camera but my Droid cell phone, which takes rather poor quality photos.
James Bolden has additional photographs here.
