Seems some brave soul is spreading rumors around the Los Angeles Times Olympic Facility regarding the new Tribune Company Employee Handbook. The rumor that came my way claims the pressroom employees are not regular Tribune Employees, because we are in union negotiations.A colleague shared with me that he was told the Los Angeles Times Employee Handbook supersedes the new Tribune Employee Handbook.
We hope the blowhard that is spreading this rumor speaks up when Sam Zell visits the Olympic Facility this Thursday, or forever holds his peace.

When Sam says, "You own this place now..." that is really a maybe for pressmen. Unless you negotiate an interest in the new ESOP, you're just the hired help.
