With any business that runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week, such as the newspaper business, many employees are away from family and friends during the holidays while working.
Yesterday the employees at the Los Angeles Times Olympic Production Facility were treated to a Thanksgiving feast, paid for by Operations Management, which includes Russ Newton, Greg Malcolm, and Johnny Walker.
Just in case you didn’t know, I seldom have anything positive to say regarding the Tribune Company management team at Olympic, so it’s with great pleasure to say thank you to the three men for the kind gesture of free food yesterday.
The pressmen had planned to hold a potluck on Thanksgiving Day, as we had no clue until Wednesday, that we would receive a Thanksgiving meal while at work. The potluck was rescheduled to this afternoon on D-Press, bring something in and enjoy the food with your colleagues that you spend so much time with on a daily basis.
