AZUSA - One person was killed in a traffic accident around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and another was arrested.
Lt. Paul Dennis of the Azusa Police Department said that two cars were involved in a wreck, but said he was not certain exactly what the arrest was for.
Dennis did confirm that the arrest was for a moving violation of some sort, and said he believed speeding was a factor in the accident.
"It look like there may have been a speeding contest," said Dennis.
The accident took place around the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Rowland Avenue.

Lt. Dennis "believed" that speeding may have been a factor. The possibility remains that it may "not" have been a factor. Especially since an arrest was made.
I would be inclined to find out the reason for the arrest.
