The last
editions of the papers were produced the week of Feb. 1.
“We just
got tired of playing the economic game,” Publisher Toby Olszewski told the
paper. “We’ve been talking about it for a while, but we just didn’t want to do
it. You hate it ... for the employees and for personal pride.”
The weekly
had eight employees, mostly part-time workers.
The
Olszewski family also owns a weekly in the Chicago
