Community Impact Newspaper owners acquire Nashville’s Rover

Community Impact Newspaper owners John and Jennifer Garrett have come to terms with American Hometown Publishing to acquire the Rover brand and operations in Nashville.

Rover debuted in the Green Hills and Belle Meade areas in May 2018 as a source of local news.

Community Impact Newspaper recently announced its launch into Nashville, planning to debut its first area edition in the cities of Franklin and Brentwood. Residents there can expect the hyperlocal publication to reach mailboxes in March, the company says. 

The free-of-charge paper reports on businesses, community news, local government meetings, real estate and transportation developments, education, health care and other issues. 

The Rover team will join Publisher Patty McHugh and the rest of the Nashville metro team in the new CI office in Cool Springs.
