On the final exhaust fumes left by the Chandlers as they made their final exit from the newspaper biz this week:

"This was a group of me-firsters that marginalized the late great Otis Chandler, the Los Angeles Times patron saint who was perhaps the only family member to truly dedicate himself to building up and running a quality newspaper, and then sold the company out from under its own handpicked CEO to make the deal with Tribune."
